Player of the Year Awards – Planned Month June 2025
We are looking for a Parent/Guardian from each Team to Join the Player of the Year Awards Committee.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
It has been a long time since the Club has had End of Season Player of the Year Awards.
The Club is planning to reinstate the Awards Ceremony, which we are hoping to arrange for early June 2025 at a Facility (Hotel/Function Room) Off Site.
REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH TEAM:
Each Team Parent/Guardian representative will collate:
A. A Photograph for each member of the Squad Member.
B. A Pen Pic (Bio Information) of each the Squad Member.
C. A Squad Photograph.
D. Photos & Pen Pics of Coaches.
Why is the above information required? The above with be included in the Season 2024-25 Yearbook which will be produced for the POTY Awards in June 2025.
OVERALL REQUIREMENTS FROM EACH REPRESENTATIVE:
Create Committee to deliver the following:
· POTY Yearbook - Put together Contents and Produce.
· Specialist Medals - Pre-Order Volunteer of the Year & POTY Medals in March 2025.
· Engraving of Specialist Medals - Once People/Players selected for the Awards organise Names to be added to the Medals.
· Headline Sponsor of the Award – Attract Headline sponsor of the Awards.
· COFC Past & Present Volunteers - Contact the Former COFC Volunteers who the Awards have been named after and invite them (or a Family Member if that person is deceased) to the Awards Ceremony to present the Award.
· Host Venue - Organise Venue, Suitable Date and Set up of Venue.
· Host of the Awards - Organise Host to present the Awards.
· Media Information at the Awards - Organise the Presentation of the Event I.E. Footage from Goals, Details of Award Champions. NOTE: Tadgh Gavin our Video Analysis Person will pull together the Presentation.
· COFC Team Sponsors – Contact and Invite Team Sponsors to the Awards
· Videographer – Organise to have the Awards Videoed.
· Awards Photographic Area – Create location where Award Recipients get Phots taken after receiving their Award.
CLARIFICATIONS:
· Due to the quantity of Players in the Club (402 x U8 – U18 & 30 x Academy Players) there may need to be 2 sittings of the Awards, I.E. Daytime and Evening.
· Possible Locations: Louis Fitzgerald Hotel (Club Sponsor), Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley (Club Sponsor), Green Isle, Red Cow & West County Hotel.
· We will create a poty@cherryorchardfc.ie email address to allow the committee to converse with all parties.
